Question - Is There a Difference Between Sadhanaa & Meditation or Both are same??

ANSWER – Dear Atman, It might have been confused as many spiritual leaders have included meditation as a part of routine sadhana and many of basic Meditation techniques have been found t be resembles to Sadhana or called as sadhana by various spiritual leaders. But in fact, Both are different. The meditation is an passive process of letting go and continuing the journey whereas Sadhana is putting some goals in your mind and repeating certain process until you reach the goal.

Here I would like to Share some pin point Differences between SADHANA & MEDITATION

1)      SADHANA – active process and involvement of Senses to reach the goals.

2)      MEDITATION – Passive process to relax the senses and moving them away from the goals (Vishayas)

 

1)      SADHANA – Mind is ‘Focused’ Or High degree of concentration is achived with Certion techniques like – Mantra, Aasanas, pranayama etc.

2)      MEDITATION – Mind is ‘De-Foused’ to let go the effort and silent observation of the activity is made.

 

1)      SADHANA- Needs efforts and specific techniques.

2)      MEDITATION- An effortless way to see insight.

 

1)      SADHANA- Can Be both Material and Spiritual Achievement.

2)      MEDITATION- Neither material Nor Spiritual as mediation leads to Loss of self(Ego)

 

1)      SADHANA- Make you reach to certain level of consciousness, can lead to Greed and ego.

2)      MEDITATION- a Process that lead to ultimate consciousness of NO NOTHING STATE

A beautiful example may Clear the difference – When we are following certain procedures viz- Mantras, Tantra techniques etc, we have some desires or wishes viz. Money, Love, abundance, Peace , Knowledge , etc. This Is SADHANAA …  But The time we sit comfortably and just De focus, and let the mind to Think but not to Stop it from doing it. Rather Focusing over , we tend to be silent observer and let the things happen. – this is Meditation.

A Best Way – Life is a combination of Sadhana and Meditation. When you feel the needs of Being someone, achieve something Focus on sadhaa. And The time you feel tired of efforts, Just relax and let the things happen, n Be silent Observer.

Do you know what "garbh sanskar" is?

It is an
astonishing way of teaching good things to the
unborn baby in womb during pregnancy.

Though
it sounds surprising, it is a scientifically proven
fact. The literal meaning of word garbh is womb
and sanskar is teaching good or right things.

Garbh sanskars should be performed by mother
during pregnancy.

The literal meaning of garbh sanskar is educating
the fetus in the womb. Many parents found this
interesting and felt quite satisfied too. In Indian
culture it is believed that education of real and
